- Jedi Master Arca Jeth sends his three apprentices, Ulic Qel-Droma, Cay Qel-Droma, and Tott Doneeta, to Onderon in order to bring an end to the ongoing Beast Wars. Their mission soon goes awry when Princess Galia is kidnapped during a Beast Rider raid on Iziz. The Jedi pursue Galia, only to discover that she intends to marry the Beast Rider Oron Kira, and Onderon's royal family are practitioners of the dark side. Their attempts to negotiate a peace with Queen Amanoa fail when she unleashes the dark side against them, and the Beast Riders lay siege to Iziz. Arca Jeth arrives and lends his battle meditation to the Beast Riders, bringing about their victory, and his powerful presence in the light side causes Freedon Nadd's spirit to abandon Queen Amanoa and leave her to die. Galia and Kira are married and assume the throne of Onderon.

- Humans from Brentaal colonize Muzara.

- The Basiliskans chemically poison their own planet of Basilisk, in a last effort to defeat the Mandalorians.

- A fuel mining colony is established on Peragus II.

- Swoop racing first becomes popular in the galaxy.

- The Exchange gains its influence on Taris.

- The Jedi Temple is constructed on Coruscant.

- Trade along the Ootmian is disrupted by a supernova which destroyes the Kyyr system and creates the Thornhedge Nebula. This coupled by the rise of the Corellian Run ended Nal Hutta's & Nar Shaddaa’s existence as a legitimate trade center and it devolves over the millennia into a crime haven.

- The Freedon Nadd Uprising erupts on Onderon as King Ommin leads an army of dark side-empowered Naddists against the Jedi Order and Beast Riders. The Naddists interrupt Amanoa's funeral and capture Arca Jeth, and also succeed in recovering the sarcophagi of both Amanoa and Freedon Nadd. The Galactic Republic and additional Jedi Knights arrive on Onderon and engage Ommin's army, and the Jedi ultimately defeat Ommin and liberate Arca Jeth. At the same time, the Tetan nobles Aleema Keto and Satal Keto, who were visiting Ommin and learning Sith lore from the king, escape back to their home system of Empress Teta and become Freedon Nadd's new apprentices.

- The Keto cousins stage a military and political coup in the Empress Teta system, seizing control of the system from their parents as they establish the Sith cult known as the Krath. The coup begins the Krath Holy Crusade. A Republic and Jedi task force comes to the aid of the planet Empress Teta, which has managed to hold off the Krath, but the Sith cult drives the Republic out of the system at the Battle of Koros Major. Ulic Qel-Droma is infected by Aleema Keto's Sith magic during an attack on the Republic's command ship Reliance I, and he unknowingly begins to slip towards the dark side.

- The Jedi Conclave of Deneba is disrupted by Krath war droids, and the servant droids at the conclave attack the Jedi at the event. The Jedi destroy their attackers, but Arca Jeth is killed by Krath droids in the battle.

- Ulic Qel-Droma attempts to infiltrate the Krath from within, but is seduced to the dark side by Aleema Keto. Qel-Droma kills Satal and becomes the Krath's leader alongside Aleema, and a Jedi rescue mission fails when Qel-Droma refuses to depart.

- Around the same time, the power-hungry Jedi Exar Kun searches for Sith teachings and discovers the spirit of Freedon Nadd on Onderon's moon Dxun, where he is trained in the ways of the dark side before heading to Yavin 4 to acquire more power. Kun ultimately kills Nadd's spirit and seeks out Ulic Qel-Droma to eliminate a potential rival.

- Nomi Sunrider organizes a second rescue mission at the same time that Kun arrives on Empress Teta, and Kun and Qel-Droma clash in a duel. However, the duel is ended by the spirit of Marka Ragnos, who anoints Kun and Qel-Droma as Dark Lords of the Sith as well as Master and apprentice. Joining forces with Kun, Qel-Droma refuses Sunrider's attempt at a rescue, and the two Sith form the Brotherhood of the Sith.

- The Great Sith War, also known as the Sith War, the First Sith War, and the Exar Kun War, or the Great Shadow Crusade to the Mandalorians, was a galaxy-wide conflict which took place in 3996 BBY. One of the largest engagements of the Old Sith Wars, the Great Sith War saw the rise of the Sith, once again in opposition to the Jedi Order.

- In the Duel on Kuar on the Plains of Harkul, Ulic Qel-Droma defeats Mandalore the Indomitable in combat, winning his loyalty.

- After months of conquering planets from the Deep Core to the Outer Rim, the Sith launch their attack on Coruscant. During the battle, Ulic Qel-Droma is captured and subsequently put on trial for treason.

- Mandalore the Indomitable is defeated by the Republic at the Battle of Onderon and killed by the beasts of Dxun. He is succeeded by Mandalore the Ultimate. Mandalore the Ultimate begins secretly summoning clans from across the galaxy, building up arms and ships on Dxun, working toward the day when a new crusade can be launched.

- Sith Lord Ulic Qel-Droma turns away from the dark side.
- Exar Kun is defeated at the Battle of Yavin 4 by Ulic Qel-Droma and the Republic.

- Both the Great Sith War and the Krath Holy Crusade end with the Recapture of the Empress Teta system.

- The Jedi Order create the Lost City of the Jedi to aide the recovery of the planet Yavin 4's ecology as well as to ensure that Exar Kun never returned again.

- An attack by the Sith devastates Mustafar—the gas giant Lefrani is tugged out of its orbit by a dark side weapon, causing Mustafar to be caught between the gravitational fields of Lefrani and the gas giant Jestefad. All life on the planet's surface dies as the surface is ripped apart by immense tidal stresses.

- The Jedi Order relocates to Coruscant following Ossus's devastation.

- Czerka begins to mine on Tatooine from the outpost city of Anchorhead.

- The Restoration Period begins for the Republic.

- The Great Hunt, a Jedi campaign to eradicate the Sithspawn known as terentateks, begins.

- During the Great Hunt, Jedi Knights successfully cleanse the planet Tatooine of terentateks. The Great Hunt is officially ended, but the Jedi Council secretly dispatches three Knights - Duron Qel-Droma, Shaela Nuur, and Guun Han Saresh - to seek out and eradicate the last of the terentateks on Korriban. The trio's mission falls apart when Saresh, furious that Nuur and Qel-Droma are in a relationship, strikes out on his own and hunts down a terentatek on Kashyyyk. Saresh is killed by the terentatek, and Nuur and Qel-Droma are killed by their target in the caves of Korriban.

- Krynda Draay, daughter of Noab Hulis and widow of Barrison Draay, is roused from the depression that the Sith War put her in when she meets the Miraluka child Q'Anilia. Q'Anilia's powers of precognition impress the half-Miraluka seer, and inspires Draay to found a Jedi Covenant dedicated to preventing the rise of the Sith.

- Nomi Sunrider, by now the head of the Jedi Order, calls a conclave of the Order on Exis Station. However, the conclave is interrupted when Nomi's daughter Vima steals an ion mining vessel and is nearly killed before Tott Doneeta rescues her. Vima seeks out Ulic Qel-Droma on Rhen Var and becomes his student, studying the ways of the Force.

- The Cathar Jedi Sylvar tracks down Ulic on Rhen Var and attacks him for his crimes and the death of her mater Crado during the Great Sith War. Their duel ends when Qel-Droma refuses to fight, freeing Sylvar from the grips of her rage; however, the spacer Hoggon shoots Qel-Droma moments later in hopes of gaining fame.

- The Coruscant Financial Exchange Establishment act speeds the restoration of the devastated Galactic Republic by allowing corporations to invest in the government's infrastructure in return for guaranteeing safe passage through increasingly treacherous hyperspace routes.

- The Mandalorians clash with the Republic at the Jebble-Vanquo-Tarnith line for several weeks.
- The First WatchCircle of the Jedi Covenant commits the Padawan Massacre, the murder of their five Padawans on Taris, after the Rogue Moon Prophecy foretells a dark figure who will bring destruction to the galaxy - a figure they believe is one of their Padawans. The Padawan Zayne Carrick arrives late and escapes with the con man Marn Hierogryph, but is framed for the Massacre. Carrick escapes from the Jedi Tower after his capture, and his escape sparks rioting and mass panic across Taris as the public loses faith in the Jedi. Mandalore the Ultimate views this as a signal to attack and takes the planet Vanquo just as the year ends.

- The Mandalorians break through the Republic lines and begin the Taris Siege, and proceed to invade the Republic through three separate corridors in what becomes known as the Onslaught. One of those corridors sees the nuclear devastation of Serroco, though the Mandalorians' offensives are all halted by the end of the year.

- The Revanchists, a group of young interventionist Jedi led by a charismatic Knight known as "the Revanchist," uncover evidence of the Battle of Cathar. In light of the Mandalorians' actions, the Jedi Council begrudgingly sanctions the Revanchists' entrance into the Mandalorian Wars, and the Revanchist adopts the name Revan.

- The Mandalorians launch a Coreward campaign known as the Mandalorian Triumph that sees them breach the Core Worlds as far as Duro. However, Revan and his friend Malak arrive at the Battle of Duro with a fleet of Interdictor-class cruisers, preventing the Mandalorians from escaping with war matériel. As a result, Supreme Chancellor Tol Cressa appoints Revan the Supreme Commander of the Republic Military.

- Over the course of this and the next year, Revan leads the Republic in rolling back the Mandalorians' advances, though often at the cost of civilians thanks to "moral shortcuts."

- Revan first accesses the Star Map on Kashyyyk.

- The Mandalorian Wars come to an end at the Battle of Malachor V, where Revan kills Mandalore the Ultimate and the Mass Shadow Generator wipes out most of the Mandalorian and Republic fleets while destroying the planet's surface.

- The battle, and the Mandalorian Wars as a whole, is brought to end when Revan's lieutenant, the Jedi Meetra Surik, activates the Mass Shadow Generator on Revan's orders and destroys the Mandalorian fleets along with a large number of Republic forces and Jedi. After witnessing the devastation caused by the weapon and feeling and the deaths through the Force, Surik severs her connection to the Force.

- From the dying Mandalore, Revan discovered the Mandalorians had been influenced by the Sith, and his search for answers led to his and Malak's corruption at the hands of the Sith Emperor.

- Revan and Malak depart into the Unknown Regions with a third of the Republic fleet, though they travel alone to follow Mandalore's instructions to Rekkiad. There, they discover the tomb of Dramath the Second, and Revan leaves Mandalore's Mask in the tomb before they leave for Nathema.

- After witnessing the devastation on Nathema, Revan and Malak follow the Sith survivors to Dromund Kaas. After months of posing undercover as mercenaries, they are lured into a trap where they are mentally dominated by the Sith Emperor and turned to the dark side of the Force. As Dark Lords of the Sith, they are ordered to locate the Rakatan space station known as the Star Forge.

- Darth Revan and his apprentice, Darth Malak, crash land on Lehon. They gain access to the Rakatan Temple of the Ancients which, in turn, grants them access to the Star Forge.

- Dark Lords Revan and Malak return from the Unknown Regions with a massive Sith Fleet. They carve out a new Sith Empire, seize control of Korriban, and revitalize the Sith Academy there. The Jedi Civil War begins.

- Meetra Surik returns to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant following the Mandalorian Wars, and she is put on trial by the Jedi High Council. The Council subsequently exiles her from the Jedi Order.

- The Bombing of Telos IV. One of the first battles of the Jedi Civil War. Meant by Darth Revan to be conquered, the civilian target was attacked without warning or provocation by former Republic Admiral Saul Karath under Malak's direct order, marking the beginning of the conflict.

- Revan is captured onboard his flagship, after Malak turns against him. Bastila Shan brings Revan back to the Jedi, who use the Force to strip his memories and create a new identity for him.

- Malak usurps the title of Dark Lord of the Sith.

- Destruction of Taris which results with most of the planet destroyed.

- Revan and Bastila along with their companions begin to look for the Star Maps spread across four planets (Korriban, Kashyyyk, Tatooine, and Manaan) after finding one on Dantooine.

- Attack on Dantooine. A massive planetary bombardment conducted by the Sith fleets of Darth Malak. The Jedi Enclave on Dantooine was believed to have been sufficiently fortified and too well-defended to invite an attack by the marauding Sith in that era; Malak and commander of Sith forces Saul Karath proved the Jedi Masters there wrong by conducting a highly effective bombardment of the planet's surface, destroying the Enclave and killing a number of high-ranking Jedi. Afterwards, a brutal large-scale subjugation of Dantooine's population was carried out, lasting for several years.

- At the Battle of Rakata Prime, Revan kills Malak in a lightsaber duel, and the Republic Fleet destroys the Star Forge.

- End of the Jedi Civil War.

- The Sith Civil War begins.

- The defeat of Darth Malak had left a vacuum, and power struggles ensued resulting in the quickly escalating Sith Civil War. The Sith remnant fractured the remaining strongholds of the Sith Empire into smaller territories. Declaring themselves sovereign warlords, they began to make war on each other with the goal of gaining or retaining whatever power they had. On Korriban, however, the destruction of the Sith Academy resulted in an insurrection there. The warring Sith massacred each other and the planet was left barren and lifeless.

- Even though the Republic had defeated Darth Malak's Sith Empire at the Battle of Rakata Prime in 3956 BBY, the effects were far-flung. Worlds, such as Telos and Taris, had been destroyed through orbital bombardment; trade routes and infrastructure had been disrupted or destroyed which allowed for various Hutt Cartels or criminal organizations such as the Exchange to manipulate markets and hoard goods; in addition, the military which defended the Republic was on the verge of collapse. Similarly, the Jedi Order was in disarray from having lost many members through defection and battle.

- The Sith Triumvirate is formed.

- In the wake of the Jedi Civil War, Supreme Chancellor Tol Cressa launched reconstruction initiatives which began with the Telosian Restoration Project, a planet-wide terraforming project to make the world habitable. To facilitate in the rebuilding efforts, the company Aratech launched a series of G0-T0 droids. These black, spherical droids were designed to facilitate in planetary administration with safeguards in their programming which limited the droids to acting within the bounds of Republic law. The first problem arose, however, with the droid assigned to Telos. The automaton found it impossible to act in the best interests of the Republic and remain within the boundaries of Republic law. Breaking free of its programming, the droid began to act illegally, all in an effort, however, of stabilizing the Republic and its reconstruction initiatives.

- Kreia is stripped of her title of Darth Traya by Darth Sion and Darth Nihilus, and becomes a Gray Jedi.

- The First Jedi Purge begins: under orders from Darth Sion, Sith assassins emerge from Malachor V to wage a shadow war against the Jedi Order. They attempt to exterminate the few remaining Jedi and they largely succeed in doing so.

- Much of what remains of the Revan's Sith Empire is unified under the rule of Darth Sion and Darth Nihilus, with Malachor V as its capital. However, the Sith Civil War does not die out completely; some Sith warlords continue to battle over the territorial scraps of the empire.

- The Conclave on Katarr is called to discuss the future of the Jedi Order.

- The Sith Lord Darth Nihilus uses his massive Force powers to feed on the life on Katarr, destroying all life on the planet (except for the Miraluka Visas Marr) and virtually wipes out the Jedi Order.

- Visas Marr joins the Sith Triumvirate by becoming Darth Nihilus's apprentice.

- Canderous Ordo, known as Mandalore the Preserver, reunites the Mandalorian clans and aids in the fight against the remnants of the Sith Empire.

- Meetra Surik is discovered aboard the Ebon Hawk by Kreia.

- The Peragus Mining Facility is destroyed.

- The Czerka Corporation, through not entirely legal means, attempts to take control over the Telosian Restoration Project.

- Various planets (Dantooine, Korriban, Nar Shaddaa, Onderon) are visited by Meetra Surik in her search for Jedi Masters Vrook Lamar, Lonna Vash, Zez-Kai Ell and Kavar. The Jedi Masters are later all killed on Dantooine by Darth Traya.

- The Onderon Civil War. It was a dynastic conflict. The war occurred when General Vaklu organized a confederation known as the Onderon separatists in Iziz that resisted Galactic Republic rule in the sector. The separatists were intent on overthrowing Queen Talia, loyal to the Republic, and having Onderon secede from the Galactic Republic. The Onderon Royalists consisting of loyal citizens of Iziz, remaining fragments of the Galactic Republic, and the Mandalorians brought the city under control and stabilized Republic control over the sector.

- Darth Nihilus leads a failed attack on Citadel Station over Telos IV.

- Meetra Surik reestablishes connection to the Force, then kills Darth Nihilus, Darth Sion and Darth Traya, who have spent the last five years assassinating Jedi.

- The First Jedi Purge and the Dark Wars end with the destruction of Malachor V.

- The Sith Civil War ends—the fragmented remnants of Revan's Sith Empire completely disintegrate and the Galactic Republic reclaims worlds that have been under Sith control since the Great Sith War, which ultimately ends the Old Sith Wars.

- An unknown Sith Lord ends up being the sole survivor of the Sith Civil War and takes an apprentice to continue the legacy of the Sith Order.

- The Sith Emperor eliminates his entire Dark Council and replaces them with new, more pro-war members.

- Meetra Surik departs to the Unknown Regions to find Revan. The Jedi Masters Revan and Meetra Surik, with the help of the Sith Lord Scourge, attempt to assassinate the Sith Emperor, but fail due to a supposed betrayal by Scourge. Meetra is killed, and Revan is captured and taken to be held in indefinite stasis. T3-M4 is also destroyed in the fight.

- Queen Elsinoré den Tasia of Grizmallt sponsors fourteen colonies, including Renatasia.

- The city of Bin Prime is chosen to replace Sobrik as the capital of Balmorra.

- Sixteen G0-T0 droids in the area of space known as the Gordian Reach unleashed a coup d'état and overthrew the planetary governments. These droids established themselves as dictators, cutting off all HoloNet communication. Aligning together, the sixteen droids blockaded the hyperlanes which accessed the sector and abruptly seceded from the Galactic Republic. Sending out a drone pod, the G0-T0 droids announced that the sixteen planets had formed the independent territory of 400100500260026. An intelligence report was filed suggesting the dispatching of the Republic Navy to free the planets. With millions of beings perishing in the coup, Supreme Chancellor Cressa ordered the military to action. The liberation campaign was both highly publicized and successful.

- Queen Elsinoré den Tasia of Grizmallt sponsors one of the last colonization efforts by her world, but the colonization ships - the Beneficent Tasia, Constant, and Mother Vima - disappear from sight. It is later discovered that the ships reached the planet Naboo, where they settled and came into conflict with the native Gungans.

- Grizmalltian Humans, under the leadership of Kwilaan, colonize the planet Naboo, and eventually become the Naboo people.

- Sraato sustains massive damage from a meteor storm, beginning a period of environmental chaos that lasts for five hundred years.

- Two centuries of peace and prosperity allow the Republic to make progress in political stability and technological advances.

- Jedi Master Barel Ovair, actually a servant of the Sith Emperor, undertakes a mission with his apprentice Eison Gynt to Yavin 4. Ovair's true mission is to eliminate the spirit of Naga Sadow for the Emperor, but the two are attacked by Massassi and Ovair is forced to flee the moon, abandoning his apprentice. Gynt
returns to Coruscant years later, under Sadow's possession, and is killed when he attacks Ovair.

- The Sith Lord Darth Ikoral is granted permission to take his flagship, the Red Reaper, on an expedition in search of pureblooded Sith outside of the Sith Empire.

- The Brentaalan hyperspace explorer Freia Kallea bridges the gap between the Mandalorian Road and the Sprizen End Run.

- Freia blazes a route linking the Spurs of Celanon and the Morellian Trail, completing the northern end of the Hydian Way.

- Freia charts a route south from Denon, linking the end of the Brentaal–Denon Route with the Dustig Trace. However, she crash-lands on the uncharted planet Nuvar thanks to interference from rivals, where she is stranded for six years.

- Kallea's route is expanded from the Dustig Trace to Seswenna and Clak'dor VII to the south over several years.

- Rescued from Nuvar, Kallea extends her route all the way to Terminus near the edge of the galactic disk, and then extends it further to Imynusoph.

- The fully-charted Hydian Way is christened.

- Republic and Imperial delegates meet for an peace conference on the planet Alderaan.

- A Sith strike team under the command of Darth Malgus and Lord Adraas attack and destroy the Jedi Temple, disabling Coruscant's defense grid.

- The Sith Lord Darth Angral leads an Imperial armada in attacking and conquering Republic capital in what would become known as the Sacking of Coruscant, destroying the Jedi Temple and inflicting mass casualties.

- Faced with an Imperial occupation of the capital, the Republic delegation is forced to sign the Treaty of Coruscant and end the Great Galactic War, retreating from many battlefields and ceding the Empire important systems.

- The Cold War begins as the two galactic powers begin to rebuild.

- The native Flesh Raiders of Tython, under the influence of the Dark Jedi Bengel Morr, begin attacking the Jedi Order and the Pilgrims in greater numbers and frequency. The new apprentice of Jedi Master Orgus Din successfully defeats Morr with the help of the astromech droid T7-O1 and end the threat of his Flesh Raider army. Din's apprentice, now a Jedi Knight, is sent with T7 to Coruscant to investigate a dark presence the Jedi High Council senses there. There, the duo team up with Padawan Kira Carsen and Agent Galen of the Republic Strategic Information Service to recover the plans for the Planet Prison superweapon.

- The Imperial warship Emperor's Glory, under the command of Grand Moff Rycus Kilran, attacks the Republic cruiser Esseles with Mandalorian aid in an attempt to capture Ambassador Vyn Asara. However, a team of Jedi and Republic operatives successfully push back the attack and disable the Glory's tractor beam, allowing the Esseles to escape.

- Angral attacks the planet Uphrades with the completed Desolator weapon, devastating the agriworld's surface as a test of the superweapon's capabilities.

- The defection of the Republic's Havoc Squad.

- This year marks the end of the Cold War between the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire and the renewal of hostilities in the form of the Galactic War.

- Conflicts from the year before such as the Desolator crisis, Plan Zero, and the defection of the Republic's Havoc Squad served to increase the tensions between the Empire and Republic, and open warfare soon broke out in when the planet Balmorra was liberated from Imperial control and the Empire conquered the world of Taris. The freeing of the ancient Jedi Master Revan was the event that finally sparked the Empire into action, marking the end of the Cold War and a return to open conflict.

- The Jedi Master Revan is freed from the Maelstrom prison after over three hundred years of captivity by a Republic strike team.

- Darth Baras' Plan Zero is implemented with the help of his apprentice, which combined with Revan's escape and the recent conflicts ignites the fires of war across the galaxy.

- Revan's attempts to use the Rakatan space station known as the Foundry are halted by an Imperial strike force. The Sith Lord Darth Malgus later takes control of the station for his own purposes.

- A Jedi strike team led by Jedi Master Tol Braga attempts to capture the Sith Emperor aboard his space station, but are defeated and turned to the dark side.

- Supreme Chancellor Dorian Janarus is assassinated. Leontyne Saresh, Governor of Taris, is elected as his successor.

- Darth Baras leads a coup of the Sith Empire, proclaiming himself to be the Voice of the Emperor after trapping the Emperor on Voss. Baras' coup would be thwarted after he was killed by his apprentice. The apprentice is subsequently named the Emperor's Wrath.

- Invasion of Belsavis. After the Empire discovered the location of the Belsavis prison, a top-secret Republic penal colony on the planet Belsavis. A small strike team followed by orbital bombardment saw the Republic prison heavily damaged, and the Empire incited riots throughout the complex as they worked to free important prisoners such as the Sith Lords known as the Dread Masters.

- The Battle of Corellia. As the peace brought by the Treaty of Coruscant collapsed into open war, the Sith Lord Darth Decimus led an invasion force to the prestigious Core World, sparking a lengthy fight for control. Darth Decimus's invasion force descended on the planet after months of planning and the forming of alliances with the Corellian Council, who declared Corellia's allegiance to the Empire as the Imperials arrived. However, pockets of civilian resistance soon began to spring up and the Empire quickly discovered that the Corellians would not accept Imperial rule so easily. He began to crush the native resistance, but the forces of the Republic soon arrived. A Republic strike force eventually attacked the Legislature Building and defeated Darth Decimus in the process, signalling the death blow to the Empire's forces on the planet.

- The Dread Host—Imperial forces under the control of the Sith Lords known as the Dread Masters launched a series of attacks on Hutt Space. Through the Force, the Dread Masters caused events such as a panicked mass exodus from Sriluur and the destruction of entire fleets over Cyborrea with a Force phantom, and their warships captured or destroyed a total of fifteen planets. As a result, the Cartel launched their own attacks on Republic and Imperial space to regain their lost territory.

- The Battle of Ilum. It initially began as a battle between the Empire and the Republic on the remote planet of Ilum for control of the planet's Adegan crystals. However, Darth Malgus seized the initiative, declared himself Emperor, and called on his fellow Sith to join his "New Empire". In response, both the Republic and the Sith Empire temporarily set aside the battle with one another to confront this new threat. Upon slaying Malgus' lieutenant, Darth Serevin, the combined forces attacked Malgus' mobile space station and destroyed his armies, before defeating Malgus himself in his throne room.

- In this year, the exiled scientist Sannus Lorrick caused an outbreak of the rakghoul plague in the Tion Hegemony. A number of worlds were overtaken by the plague before quarantine measures were instituted, and the planet Kaon was the fifth world to be overtaken by rakghouls. The plague was eventually tracked back to Lorrick's lab on Ord Mantell, where he was killed, but not before the passenger liner Stardream was infected by Lorrick's efforts; the liner crashed on Tatooine and caused a galaxy-wide crisis.

- The Sith Emperor attempted to perform a dark side ritual that would allow him to consume the life force of the entire galaxy, and he sent his agents out across the galaxy in order to take advantage of the chaos and perform the sacrifice necessary to start the ritual. However, the Emperor was opposed by the Jedi Knight known as the Hero of Tython, who had broken free of the Emperor's mental control and joined forces with the former Emperor's Wrath Lord Scourge after the Sith revealed the Emperor's plans. With aid from the rest of the Jedi Order, the Republic Military, and the Hero's own crew, the Knight foiled the Emperor's agents on Belsavis, Voss, and Corellia, freeing the other Jedi under the Emperor's control in the process. After learning of the Emperor's location on the Imperial capital of Dromund Kaas, the Hero infiltrated the Dark Temple on the planet while the Republic fleet engaged the Imperial Navy above the Dromund Kaas, and in a final battle the Knight managed to strike down the Sith ruler and seemingly end the threat he posed to the galaxy.

- Darth Malgus declares the formation of the New Empire on Ilum. This prompts the Republic and Empire to temporarily put aside their differences and work together to defeat Malgus. He was eventually defeated.

- Through Operation End Game, the Republic destroys the Ascendant Spear, a prototype warship commanded by Darth Karrid.

- The Hutt Cartel, under the leadership of Supreme Mogul Toborro, invades the neutral world of Makeb in order to harvest the isotope-5 in the planet's core. The Republic lends the people of Makeb aid, while the weakened Empire undertakes a cover mission to secure isotope-5 reserves for themselves. The Empire manages to stabilize Makeb's core as it begins to tear the planet apart, saving the planet from complete destruction. In the end, the Hutt's plan failed and the Cartel allied itself to the Republic.

- The Dread Masters are finally eliminated on the moon of Oricon.

- The Order of Revan, previously believed to be a minor cult in the Empire, emerges as a major galaxy-wide threat, believed to be under the leadership of Revan himself.

- The Order of Revan and their Nova Blades pirate allies manipulated the two galactic powers into shifting their patrol routes and eventually forced a confrontation above Rishi, where Revan hoped to wipe out both fleets using a Revanite fleet and Revanite saboteurs aboard the opposing fleets. The Nova Blades set up a signal jammer on the planet, cutting off all unauthorized transmissions from the planet to the fleets once they entered orbit. However, a small team of Imperial and Republic agents disabled the Revanites' signal jammer on Rishi and managed to warn the two fleets, allowing both factions to capture the saboteurs in their ranks and bring the fighting to an end. The Imperial fleet's commander, Darth Marr, agreed to meet with the anti-Revanite group on the surface; as did the Republic fleet's leader, Theron Shan's estranged mother and Grand Master of the Jedi Order, Satele Shan. At the monumental summit, the warring leaders were made to understand that the Revanite threat had nearly destroyed them all through deception. Worse still, Darth Marr revealed that Revan's mission was not a mere flight of fancy—that the former Sith Emperor, Vitiate, was still alive in an incorporeal form. While in captivity, Theron Shan learned that Revan's endgame was to restore Vitiate's incorporeal form to a physical body, in order to slay the ancient evil forever. Similarly, the former Sith Emperor planned to be restored to a body in order that he could continue toward his original goal of draining all life in the galaxy. The Republic and Jedi found themselves facing the possibility of a returned Sith Emperor, as well as a deranged rogue Jedi threatening all in the galaxy. The Empire and Sith were seriously concerned about the return of an Emperor whose goal was their own destruction. Under these circumstances, the two groups pledged to work together and pursue Revan and his followers to a final showdown on the distant moon Yavin 4.

- Not long later, the combined Republic/Imperial task force established a base camp on the jungle moon. A command center was established in the vicinity of the Revanites at which Satele Shan, Darth Marr, Theron Shan, and Lana Beniko could coordinate their forces against Revan and his followers. The alliance was uneasy. Scouts from both sides distrusted the other to a degree which made establishing a camp perimeter difficult. It was revealed that a device capable of mass ritual sacrifice was contained within the temple that the Revanites were using as a base of operations—precisely the kind of device necessary for jump-starting Vitiate's return to corporeal form. Despite the impending danger and the dark side energies of the moon, both Satele Shan and Darth Marr continued to feel a vastly powerful light-side presence in the Force, which they were both at a loss to explain. While in the field on a mission to destroy the ritual device, alliance forces made a startling contact: the Force ghost of a supremely serene Revan. This Revan revealed that the events on the Foundry had fractured his psyche into light and dark halves; that his light spirit was ready to move on from the tangible world, leaving only darkness and anger in his physical body—the dark Revan responsible for the situation on Yavin.

- The alliance forces finally collectively banded together to face down the dark Revan. As they stood victorious over the beaten man, the unexpected occurred: the booming voice of Vitiate, former Sith Emperor, began to speak. After taunting Revan that his private war had only served to feed Vitiate's strength, his spirit burst from the top of the temple. Vitiate, former Sith Emperor and one of the most powerful Sith in history, was once again at large. Both the forces of Republic and Empire fought the Sith Emperor once again, finally defeating him after a lengthy battle, though the cost of the victory was high, as many Jedi, Sith and soldiers had died that day (notably Satele Shan, Darth Marr and Jace Malcom). But this death of Emperor Vitiate was final, and the horrors of war could come to an end.

- Utterly beaten, the dark Revan merged with his light side spirit. Whole and at peace once more, Revan finally chose to move on, leaving no worldly remains.

- With the Revanite crisis resolved and Sith Emperor defeated, the Republic and Imperial alliance mutually agreed to dissolve their partnership, opening a window for truce and end to a long and bloody war.

- Skončila Galaktická vojna, ktorá trvala od 3 642 BBY. Na galaxiu mala ďalekosiahle následky viditeľné ešte po desaťročia. Galaktická Republika (ďalej len ''Republika'') sa ocitla v astronomicky vysokých dlhoch, ktoré bola nútená rýchlo splácať. - Imperátorov Hnev [Emperor's Wrath] ("Tempest" - Sith Warrior, významný Sithský Lord v čase Studenej a Galaktickej vojny, a pravá ruka Imperátora Vitiata) bol jeden z dvoch bojovníkov, ktorí Imperátorovi v poslednom boji na Yavine 4 zasadili smrteľný úder. Vitiate po svojom znovuobjavení prehovoril priamo k svojmu bývalému exekútorovi a dal mu sľub, že ho zabije ako posledného. Hnev sa rozhodol, že svojho majstra porazí za každú cenu, čo sa mu aj podarilo, no Vitiate ho ešte pred svojou smrťou stihol trafiť ničivými bleskami nahromadenej temnej energie, ktoré ho zabili. Hnev však mohol zomrieť v mieri, vediac, že sa mu podarilo zastaviť Imperátora a jeho hrozivý plán na vyhladenie všetkého života v galaxii. Legendárny Sithský Lord bol posmrtne vyhlásený za Hnev Impéria, najmä za jeho službu pre Sithské Impérium a podiel na ukončení ničivej Galaktickej Vojny.

Už pred touto akciou prešla spravodajská služba Impéria rozsiahlymi reformami a na jej čelo sa postavil práve Cipher Nine ako Správca, na odporúčanie Darth Marra. Nová spravodajská agentúra potrebovala nový personál a bývalý Minister spravodajskej služby, pod ktorým Cipher pracoval počas vojny, mu poskytol zoznam potenciálnych uchádzačov. Tento netradičný zoznam obsahoval mená vojenských dezertérov, teroristických sympatizantov a povstalcov, ktorí však verili v lepšiu budúcnosť Impéria a o ich lojalite k ideálom Impéria sa nedalo pochybovať.

- Mocenské vákuum vzniknuté krátko po vojne využila vplyvná pirátka Tann Aris a založila Tannine Konzorcium (ďalej len ''Konzorcium''), v ktorom sa spojili tisícky pirátov, gangstrov a iných zločincov. Vyhlásila sa za Komodorku a dala sa do ligy s Huttským Kartelom (ďalej len ''Kartel'').

- Niekoľko Republikových planét na protest začalo diskusie o odchode z Republiky, no tie sa zatiaľ nedostali k vážnym návrhom.

- Konzorcium a Kartel so svojimi flotilami ''prebrali'' niekoľko planét, ktorých príslušnosť po vojne bola nejasná (pôvodne patrili Sithskému Impériu). Obyvatelia niektorých svetov týchto ''zločincov'' radostne privítali ako osloboditeľov. V tejto dobe sa Sithské Impérium stále zmietalo v kríze, takže o tieto planéty nemohlo bojovať.

- Sithské Impérium po niekoľkoročných vnútorných rozbrojoch zmenilo svoj politický systém a premenovalo sa na ''Galaktické Impérium'' (ďalej len ''Impérium''). Nová Imperátorka Corsé rozpustila Sithský Koncil a Sithov odstránila zo všetkých pozícií moci, a zároveň zakázala ich prítomnosť v rámci celého Impéria. Sithovia mohli dobrovoľne odísť alebo sa stať prenasledovanými zločincami. Zrušené boli všetky Sithské akadémie v Impériu. Corsé sa v nasledujúcich rokoch snažila obnoviť diplomatické vzťahy s Republikou a aspoň mierne ich zlepšiť, no nedostalo sa jej pochopenia. Najvyšší Kancelár Republiky (ďalej len ''Kancelár'') Opplak a Senát jej návrhy rázne zamietli, mysliac si že ide o ďalšiu provokáciu Sithov.

- Nox vo svojej funkcii spoznala Veijela, Sithského Lorda, ktorý slúžil vo Sfére prastarých vedomostí už dlhé desiatky rokov. Pred ňou na čele Sféry stál Darth Arctis. Bol to práve Arctis kto poslal Veijela na planétu Rishi, kde bolo jeho úlohou pozorovať neďalekú trpasličiu galaxiu, Rishi Maze. Arctisa vo vedúcej úlohe Sféry časom vystriedal Darth Thanaton, a napokon Darth Nox. Arctis a Thanaton pevne verili, že Rishi Maze ukrýva tajomstvo nesmrteľnosti. Veijel tento fakt spochybňoval, ale bol si istý že galaxia je zdrojom veľkého neobjaveného bohatstva.
Veijel na Rishi strávil vyše tridsať rokov a jeho práca časom priniesla plody - podarilo sa mu zachytiť signály pochádzajúce z trpasličej galaxie. Tieto signály boli v prastarom jazyku (zložené z rôznych slov niekoľkých jazykov - hlavne rakatanského, greeského a sithského) a obsahovali inštrukcie na vylepšenie komunikačných prístrojov, ktoré Veijel používal. Po aplikácii týchto poznatkov prístroje dokázali predĺžiť životnosť osoby "dvakrát pretvorenej a znovuzrodenej Matkou" - opis perfektne sa hodiaci na Darth Nox. Veijel kontaktoval Nox a vyžiadal si audienciu.
Prístroj, zostavený na základe mimozemských plánov, nečakane poskytol Nox silnú bunkovú regeneráciu, čím sa jej život predĺžil o jeden solárny cyklus. Veijel bol veľmi spokojný s výsledkami a požiadal svoju pani o dodatočné zdroje: vedcov schopných replikovať tieto prístroje a flotily na podrobný prieskum galaxie Rishi Maze. Darth Nox súhlasila, a pôvodne sa tejto expedície neplánovala zúčastniť - no po tom ako Imperátorka Corsé rozpustila Sithský Koncil a vyhostila Sithov z Impéria, jej názor sa zmenil. Postavila sa na čelo malej flotily smerujúcej do trpasličej galaxie a odvtedy o nej nikto nepočul, a rovnako nikto nevie čo v Rishi Maze našla - ak sa tam vôbec dokázala dostať.

- Planéta Ilum, o ktorú Republika a Impérium bojovali počas celej vojny, a bola hlavným zdrojom Adeganových kryštálov pre svetelné meče, záhadne zmizla z Republikových a Imperiálnych archívov a kolektívne sa na ňu zabudlo. Impérium aj Republika z doposiaľ neznámych dôvodov prestali mať o planétu záujem.

- Niekoľko členov Vysokého Koncilu v rámci Impéria žiadalo o skutočnú transformáciu Impéria na demokraciu po vzore Republiky - Imperátorku požiadali o zrušenie otroctva a rasistických zákonov na celom území Impéria. Corsé im neodpovedala priamo; naopak, vysvetlila že podobnými otázkami sa bude zaoberať až po tom ako sa Impérium zotaví z vojny.

- Hromadné protesty a ozbrojené vzbury proti Republike a jej inkompetencii začali naberať na vážnosti, pričom sa rozľahli po takmer všetkých Republikových svetoch. Republika nebola schopná obnoviť všetky vojnou zničené planéty a mestá, keďže ich bolo nespočetne.

- Niekoľkí bývalí členovia Sithského Koncilu založili svoje ''hlavné stredisko'' a novú Sithskú akadémiu na planéte Umbara. Na jej čelo sa postavila Darth Tesh.

- Vznikla Sithská akadémia na mesiaci Dxun (planéta Onderon) zo zameraním na tréning sithských asasínov a špehov. Na jej čelo sa postavili Darth Zyrias a Darth Baric.

- Vznikla posledná Sithská akadémia na mesiaci Vo Dasha (planéta Taboon) zo zameraním na tréning sithských akolýt a mágov. Na jej čelo sa postavili Darth Chandra a Darth Magnis.

- Imperátorka Corsé obnovila snahy o nadviazanie priateľských kontaktov s Republikou. Nový Kancelár Theggas, stále riešiac rastúcu krízu v Republike, s radosťou jej návrhy prijal a chladné vzťahy sa aspoň na krátky čas oteplili.

- Kancelár Theggas bol zavraždený priamo na Coruscante počas príhovoru o novom spojenectve s Impériom. Vrahovia boli zajatí a identifikovaní ako Sithovia. Sami priznali, že boli poslaní Imperátorkou Corsé a jej reči o priateľstve boli len zásterkou. Vrahovia boli následne odsúdení. Nový Kancelár Eldin, ako prvú vec po svojom zvolení, vyhlásil Impériu zaryté nepriateľstvo a zrušil všetky nastolené diplomatické vzťahy. Corsé protestovala tým, že o atentáte na Kancelára nič nevedela a že išlo o pomstu Sithov, ktorí si po ich vyhnaní z Impéria vytvorili vlastnú organizáciu, a majú za cieľ znova nastoliť galaktickú vojnu. Republika sa nesnažila hľadať hlbšiu pravdu a Kancelár svoje rozhodnutie len rázne potvrdil.

- Znova sa objavila požiadavka na zrušenie otroctva v Impériu, ktorá v posledných rokoch nabrala na váhe a podpore. Vysoký Koncil následne o spornej otázke hlasoval, no návrh neprešiel (5 hlasov za, 4 hlasy proti, pričom na úspešné hlasovanie je vyžadovaný súhlas dvojtretinovej väčšiny členov).

- Lovkyňu nečakane zavraždil jej blízky priateľ, člen gildy a spojenec Gault Rennow. Chýry hovoria o obrovskej odmene, ktorú Gault jednoducho nemohol odmietnuť, avšak nie je známe kto ho na túto prácu najal a prečo ju vôbec prijal, keďže gilde sa v loveckej brandži darilo a po rokoch sa stala vskutku neslávnou; miestom kde si lovcov na diskrétnu a tichú prácu objednávali tí najbohatší a najvplyvnejší. Niektorí si myslia, že sa jednalo o boj o vedúce miesto v gilde, ktoré chcel Gault prebrať, no jedná sa len o nepodložené informácie. Po odstránení Lovkyne sa Gault pokúsil zabiť aj niekoľkých iných členov, no to sa mu nepodarilo a zradca utiekol, a odvtedy ho nikto nevidel. Akaavi Spar chcela prebrať vedenie gildy, no po vnútorných nezhodách sa skupina rozpadla a jej členovia sa rozhodli ísť vlastnou cestou.

- V tomto roku už bola armáda aj flotila Republiky viacmenej v plnom stave, a niekoľko senátorov vrátane Kancelára Eldina žiadalo o obnovenie vojny s Impériom. K tejto radikálnej skupine sa začalo pridávať množstvo iných systémov. Ich rétorika presvedčila najmä rasy iné ako ľudí, ktoré Impérium tradične považovalo za ''nižšie'' a ku ktorým sa na obsadených planétach správali kruto a nespravodlivo. Radikálom išlo najmä o znovuobsadenie systémov, ktoré Republike patrili pred objavením sa Sithského Impéria a Galaktickou Vojnou, a o to aby Impérium zaplatilo za svoje vojnové zločiny. Dôležitou súčasťou argumentu separatistov bol úspešný atentát na predošlého Kancelára. Väčšina Senátu ale obnovenie vojny odmietla. Predsa len, kríza v Republike stále nebola pod kontrolou.

- Po niekoľkých mesiacoch sa na viacerých Republikových planétach objavili separatistické tendencie, no tie Republika rýchlo potlačila.

- Tento rok sa končilo funkčné obdobie Kancelára Eldina a tak sa separatisti rýchlo museli zorganizovať. Kancelár požiadal senátorov a predstaviteľov niekoľkých planét aby sa k nemu v správny čas pridali, a istá časť z nich súhlasila. Eldin nechcel aby Republika stihla zareagovať. Po tejto verejnej "velezradnej" výzve Kancelára, ktorá vážne ohrozovala demokratický systém Republiky a hlavne jej celistvosť, sa objavili hlasy žiadajúce o zatknutie Kancelára a jeho odstránenie z funkcie, prípadne dobrovoľnú demisiu. Rád Jediov začal o probléme diskutovať - majstri nechceli urobiť unáhlené rozhodnutie - ale to nezastavilo niekoľko mladých Jediov a dokonca aj zopár Rytierov, aby sa na opovážlivú akciu podujali sami. Predtým než došlo k tragédii bola táto iniciatívna skupina zatknutá a Rád voči týmto Jediom následne vyvodil náležitú zodpovednosť.

- Kancelár Eldin opustil Coruscant a odletel na Bogden, kde cez HoloNet vyhlásil svoju demisiu. Zároveň vyzval všetky systémy Republiky, aby sa pridali k novej Federálnej Republike (ďalej len ''Federácia''), ktorej cieľom bude priniesť do galaxie spravodlivosť a potrestať Impérium za vojnové zločiny. Za niekoľko hodín sa od Republiky odpojili desiatky systémov, medzi ktorými boli planéty Iridonia, Glee Anselm, Fornax, Vortex, Dorin, Ord Mantell, Anobis, Brath Qella, Yinchor, Shili a Bogden, severne nad Hydiánskou Cestou. Planéty v iných systémoch, ako Commenor či Nak Shimor, sa Republike vzopreli tiež, no na týchto planétach boli povstania úspešne potlačené.

- Časť Republikovej flotily v čase vyhlásenia Federácie kotvila pri Ord Mantell, ktorý si Federácia zvolila ako domovskú planétu. Keď Kancelár Eldin, vtedy už Prezident Eldin, požiadal Admirála aby opustil územie Federácie, na príkaz Senátu jeho požiadavku odmietol a započal blokádu Ord Mantellu. Prezident Eldin odletel z Bogdenu na Ord Mantell a po ceste sa k nemu pripojila nová flotila Federácie, poskytnutá separatistami a obchodnými cechmi. Po ďalších požiadavkách Prezidenta a ďalších odmietnutiach sa nad planétou spustila vesmírna bitka. Republiková flotila mala prevahu a dočkala by sa víťazstva, no došli správy, že sa do bitky plánujú zapojiť ďalšie posily Federácie. Počas bitky sa Prezidentova vlajková loď Marooner zapojila do boju a bola zostrelená, pričom zahynul aj Prezident. Republika sa následne stiahla za hranice novej Federácie k planéte Arkania.  

- Bol zvolený nový Prezident, ktorý nahradil Aurena Eldina. Stal sa ním Vyrim Anders, bývalý poradca a pravá ruka Kancelára Eldina.

- Federácia začala pozývať Jediov na svoje územie. Mnohí z nich, znechutení prístupom Republiky, pozvánku prijali. Opustením Rádu porušili Kód a zákony Republiky, a stali sa sivými Jedijmi.

- Hnutie o zrušenie otroctva sa rozľahlo po celom Impériu. Corsé na rizikové svety rozoslala flotilu, sčasti na prípadnú obranu, sčasti na zastrašenie. Po hromadných protestoch, ktoré boli násilne potlačené, Imperátorka prijala niekoľko opatrení. Pôvodne chcela pritvrdiť, no Vysoký Koncil ju presvedčil aby svoj názor zmenila. Na niektorých planétach a pre niektoré špecifické rasy otroctvo zrušila a zmenila jeho podmienky. Týmito novými zákonmi sa ale nič reálne nezmenilo.

- Novým Kancelárom sa stáva umiernený Nom Nost. Stalo sa tak najmä preto že väčšina radikálov prestúpila do Federácie. Nost sa rozhodol, že Federáciu na dohľadný čas ponechá a separatistov časom presvedčí, aby sa vrátili do Republiky. Začali sa totižto objavovať správy o silnejúcom Impériu a Nost nechcel vyčerpať obnovenú armádu v zbytočných bojoch.

- Federácia nadviazala diplomatické kontakty s Republikou a mocnosti medzi sebou uzavreli niekoľko zmlúv. Obchodné cesty a hranice sa čoskoro otvorili. Galaktická Republika a Federálna Republika znova tvorili jedno súvislé územie, avšak s odlišnou vládou. Nost bol s týmto stavom uzrozumený, dokonca spokojný, pretože nemusel mať nekonečné starosti s agresívnymi radikálmi.

- Kancelár Nost s podporou Senátu rozhodol, že sa za každú cenu vyhne akýmkoľvek bojom a konfliktom, a zameria sa na obnovu stále zdevastovanej Republiky.

- Imperátorka Republiku znova požiadala o dobrú vieru na zlepšenie vzťahov a o nadviazanie stálych diplomatických kontaktov. Protesty Federácie, ktorú Impérium stále považovalo za súčasť Republiky, však tieto pokusy Impéria sabotovalo.

- Umiernená politika Kancelára nefungovala podľa jeho predstáv. Po vzore Federácie sa po celom území Republiky rozľahli ďalšie separatistické skupiny, ktoré vyhlasovali nezávislosť od Republiky, ba aj príslušnosť Impériu. Tento problém bol bez použitia armády alebo ďalšieho zadlžovania neriešiteľný - a Nost sa rozhodol pre druhú možnosť. Republika nemala šancu splatiť svoje dlhy v žiadnom skorom termíne, a tak vzbúreným svetom poskytol veľké finančné injekcie a rôzne iné ekonomické výhody.

- V nasledujúcich mesiacoch v Senáte prešlo niekoľko dôležitých zákonov, ktoré upravovali ekonomiku krízovej Republiky. Mali však nečakané následky - a to vzniknutie kvázi nevoľníctva. Zamestnanci, ktorí v mnohých prípadoch nedostali svoje platy už mesiace či roky, ich dostali naraz, a to aj do budúcnosti. To znamenalo, že boli nútení pracovať ďalej až kým si neodrobili svoju plácu. Platy však boli vypočítané podľa predvojnovej hodnoty Republikového kreditu a výpočty nebrali ohľad na silnú infláciu, ktorá sa po vojne vyskytla. Takýmto spôsobom boli zamestnanci vyplatení málo kreditmi, a mali problém uživiť seba a svoje rodiny aj napriek tomu že trvrdo pracovali. Ak by aj chceli, nájsť inú prácu si nemohli, pretože boli pripútaní k svojmu pôvodnému zamestnaniu.

- Situácia v Republike sa konečne upokojila a stabilizovala, aspoň čo sa týkalo separatistických hnutí.

- Z Republiky do Federácie v tomto čase prestúpilo toľko Jediov, že sa Prezident rozhodol založiť Nový Rád. Siví Jediovia by tým získali legitimitu, právoplatné postavenie a obrovskú moc v rámci Federácie.

- Vo Federácii bol založený Nový Rád. Jeho Koncil sa skladal z majstrov, ktorí opustili Republiku.

- Pôvodný plán Federácie - okamžite vyhlásiť Impériu vojnu - Prezident zamietol a pozmenil. Bol sklamaný, že sa do Federácie pripojilo len tak málo systémov, a vyhlásil že Federácia sa sile Impéria nemôže rovnať.

- Imperátorka sa nechala inšpirovať Republikovým riešením kreditovej krízy a v Impériu zaviedla podobný systém pre slobodných obyvateľov, a pozmenený systém pre otrokov. Otroci sa stali ''slobodnými,'' no stále boli pripútaní k svojim ''zamestnávateľom'' (majiteľom). V teórii bolo otroctvo zrušené, no v praxi systém pokračoval v predošlej podobe.

- Diplomatická konferencia na vylepšenie vzťahov, ktorú zvolala Imperátorka, bola prerušená útokom teroristov. Teroristi boli súčasťou Federácie, a prosili Republiku aby Impériu vyhlásila vojnu. Corsé bola prístupom Republiky znechutená a rokovania prerušila. Kancelár aj Prezident sa ohradili, že s teroristami nič nemajú a neposlali ich; načo im Imperátorka pripomenula udalosti z roku 3 628 BBY.

- Kreditová kríza dosiahla nových výšin a predstavitelia jednotlivých systémov sa v Senáte začali sťažovať, že kvôli novým zákonom prestala fungovať demokracia a Republika sa postupne mení na otrokárske Impérium. Rád Jediov bol poverený riešením tohto problému, prípadne zistením a odstránením korupcie v Senáte.

- Do galaxie dorazili prvé správy o novej ríši v Neznámych oblastiach. O niečo neskôr sa zistilo, že by mohlo ísť o ríšu prastarej rasy Rakata. Aj napriek viacerým dôkazom ale väčšina ľudí týmto informáciám neverila, pretože Rakatani zmizli z galaxie už pred 23 000 rokmi. Republika ich prítomnosť spočiatku ignorovala.

- Impérium sa po 20-tich rokoch rozhodlo nárokovať si planéty, ktoré krátko po vojne od Impéria ''prevzali'' Kartel a Konzorcium. Konkrétne sa jednalo o planéty v Kesselskom sektore - Kessel, Honoghr, Fwillsving a Kubindi. Imperátorka si o planéty jednoducho požiadala, no Konzorcium ju odmietlo. Kartel vyjadril obavy ohľadne otvoreného konfliktu s Impériom, no Tann planéty nemala v pláne vrátiť, najmä kvôli Kesselu, z ktorého jej a pirátom plynulo obrovské bohatstvo.

- Rád oznámil, že v rámci vyšetrovania kreditovej krízy neobjavil žiadnu korupciu; ani žiadny iný problém. Vysvetlili, že zákony boli prijaté korektne a neexistovala iná možnosť ako riešiť ekonomickú krízu Republiky. Toto ''zistenie'' nezískalo Jediom žiadnych fanúšikov a verejný názor na Jediov sa výrazne prepadol. Počas ďalších rokov sa tento odpor rozľahol po celej Republike a zmenil sa na rastúcu nedôveru v Rád a Jediov všeobecne. Okrem toho boli obvinení aj z vojnového štváčstva, ktoré Republiku do tejto krízy pôvodne dostalo.

- Nový Rád Federácie vyhlásil, že prijaté zákony Republiky sú skutočne tvrdé a neférové, a Rád na Coruscante klame, ba i to, že môže byť skorumpovaný. Tieto rozpory spôsobili hromadný odchod ďalších Jediov z Coruscantu.

- Verejnosť začala brať správy o Rakatanoch vážnejšie, pretože sa jednoznačne potvrdila ich existencia a zároveň aj to, že ich spojenie so Silou bolo po tisícoch rokoch obnovené vďaka Revanovi, ešte v roku 3 956 BBY. Svoju ríšu v Neznámych oblastiach budovali už najmenej 300 rokov.

- Impérium v krátkom čase od Konzorcia obsadilo planéty Kubindi, Fwillsving a Honoghr. Na Kessel, ktorý bol obránený najlepšie, začali pripravovať útok.

- Na poste Kancelára Nosta vystriedal Sinate Lurech. Nebol umiernený ako jeho predchodca. Chcel potrestať Federáciu a navrátiť územia, ktoré patria Republike. Federáciu vyhlásil za zločineckú organizáciu a jej vodcov plánoval odsúdiť za velezradu. Už krátko po jeho zvolení flotila Republiky vošla do bojovej pohotovosti.

- Kartel, konkrétne jeho vodca a Veľbarón Dabbo Desilijic Bihme, prisľúbil pomoc Konzorciu v boji s Impériom. O niečo neskôr Impérium tajne zastrašilo Huttov vyhrážkami. Navonok stále pomáhali Konzorciu, ale ich skutočná príslušnosť nebola jasná.

- Krátko pred útokom Republiky na Federáciu sa blízko Jadra Galaxie objavila Rakatanská flotila. Ako ich vodca sa predstavil Over-Predor Kal'tor a požiadal Republiku aby sa vzdala systémov, ktoré právoplatne patria Rakatanom. Po ráznom odmietnutí sa pri planéte Byss objavila flotila Novej Rakaty a spustila bleskový útok na Republikové lode, ktoré tam kotvili. Tento vpád bol nečakaný a pri náhlom útoku zomreli tisícky Republikových vojakov. Po krátkej jednostrannej bitke Rakatani zamierili na povrch planéty, no prekvapila ich nečakane rýchla reakcia Republiky. Byss bol jeden z dôležitých Republikových svetov a Kancelár Lurech im nechcel dať ani šancu. Riskujúc zraniteľnosť Republiky vyslal na Byss väčšinu Republikovej flotily. Bitka nad planétou trvala niekoľko hodín, a skončila plným ústupom Rakatanov.

- Republika bola nútená opevniť systémy hraničiace s Neznámymi oblasťami, pretože ďalší útok z Novej Rakaty mohol prísť kedykoľvek. Kancelár Lurech sa rozhodol vojnu s Federáciou odložiť na neskôr.

- Prvá bitka o Kessel. Flotily Konzorcia a Kartelu sa dostali do boja s Imperiálnou flotilou. Piráti spôsobili Impériu veľké problémy a bitka bola nerozhodná až do istého bodu - vystupňované vyhrážky Impéria však Veľbaróna vystrašili natoľko, že Konzorcium priamo zradil a bitku náhle opustil. Konzorcium proti armáde Impéria zostalo osamote a flotila pirátov sa dala na útek. Počas úteku pirátov Impérium zajalo Komodorku.

- Tann bola uväznená na planéte Centares.

- Konzorcium, ktoré stratilo svoju vodkyňu, prebral Nira Lohgun, Tannin dlhodobý rival. Na Impérium a Kessel už viac neútočil a pohľad otočil na Republikové svety v neďalekých sektoroch. Nira bol počas svojej vlády spokojný s terorizovaním a lúpežníctvom v rámci týchto Republikových systémov. Zároveň sa rozhodol, že Veľbaróna Dabba nechá na pokoji aj napriek jeho zrade, pretože samotný Lohgun s ním nemal žiadny problém.

- Odohral sa hraničný konflikt medzi Impériom a Republikou na planéte Junction. Po niekoľkých mesiacoch bol vyriešený obojstranným kompromisom.

- Po niekoľkých zlyhaných pokusoch o atentát bol Správca nútený sa stiahnuť do úzadia. Zdalo sa, že jeho identita je vyzradená a teda nepoužiteľná. Pri prevoze medzi základňami na Dromund Kaas bola jeho loď zostrelená, no Správca akoby zázrakom túto nehodu prežil. Vojaci, ktorí ho zostrelili protileteckým delom, následne spáchali samovraždu; ich motív zostal ponorený v záhade. Telo Správcu však bolo poškodené natoľko, že nemohol prežiť dlho, a tak sa Imperátorka rozhodla zachovať jeho myseľ v digitálnej forme. V tejto "počítačovej" podobe naďalej pokračoval vo vedení imperiálneho spravodajstva ako Správca.

- Počas nájazdu na väzenský komplex na planéte Centares niekoľko pirátskych lodí oslobodilo Komodorku Tann. Tann odišla na Nar Shaddaa a začala s obnovou svojho Konzorcia. Dostala sa do konfliktu s Lohgunom a v nasledujúcich mesiacoch sa obaja snažili získať pirátov na svoju stranu.

- Nespokojnosť Mandaloriánov dosiahla nových výšin, pričom jednotlivé klany na Mandalore si začali uvedomovať zraniteľnosť Impéria v jeho okrajových oblastiach, a vytvorili alianciu na čele s Mand'alorom Cromom.

- Tann na svoju stranu získala väčšinu bývalých členov Konzorcia, spojených nenávisťou k zradnému Veľbarónovi Dabbovi a záľubou v bohatstve, ktoré im Kessel, a teda Tann, poskytovali.

- Lohgun unikol pred Tann a spojil sa s Veľbarónom Dabbom. Na Nar Shaddaa a Nal Hutta sa spočiatku odohrali desiatky potýčok medzi Kartelom a pirátmi z Konzorcia, a časom tento konflikt prerástol do otvorenej vojny.

- Konzorcium uzavrelo spojenectvo s významným Huttským klanom Besadii, odvekým rivalom klanu Desilijic.

- Mandaloriáni nespokojní s nadvládou Impéria nad ich domovským svetom Mandalore započali ozbrojenú vzburu a Impérium po niekoľkých mesiacoch z planéty vyhnali. Na ich čelo sa postavil nový Mand'alor Crom. Impérium, ktoré sa nechcelo zapájať do nových bojov len desiatky rokov po vojne a zároveň nechcelo mať zbytočné vojenské straty, sa z planéty stiahlo viacmenej dobrovoľne a Mandaloriánom mlčky darovalo nezávislosť. Klanom však ''len'' nezávislosť nestačila a krátko po odchode Impéria z Mandalore začal Crom plánovať obsadenie viacerých planét v sektore.

- Mandaloriáni zaútočili na planétu Sundari a bleskovo ju obsadili, pričom obyvatelia im nespôsobili žiadne väčšie problémy. Domáci poprosili o pomoc susednú planétu Garos IV, no keďže boli v rivalskom pomere, Garos IV ich požiadavku odignoroval. To nič nezmenilo na tom, že o pár týždňov neskôr padol aj Garos IV.

- Tann sa podarilo odchytiť Lohguna a po krátkej prestrelke ho aj zabiť.

- Pohľad Mandaloriánov sa obrátil na hranice Imperiálneho územia a v plnej sile zaútočili na planétu Gala. Malá posádka Impéria na planéte bola rýchlo porazená a Mandaloriáni prevzali nadvládu. Gala sa len pred niekoľkými rokmi stala členom Impéria, a tak jej kráľovná v dobrej vôli požiadala Impérium o pomoc, no tej sa obyvatelia Galy nikdy nedočkali.

- Vidiac, že obsadzovanie planét Impéria je tak jednoduché, Crom v ňom jednoducho pokračoval. Nečakal, že do obrany ďalších cieľov - Vjun a Phindar - Impérium zapojí všetky svoje sily. Špióni Impéria už niekoľko dní pred útokom zistili plán mandaloriánskeho útoku. Vjun sa Mandaloriánom spočiatku podarilo obsadiť, no po niekoľkých oslobodzovacích misiách a hrdinskom výsadku elitného Búrkového oddielu, sa Vjun navrátil do vlastníctva Impéria.

- V rovnaký čas prebiehala bitka o Phindar, ktorá sa ale nikdy nedostala na povrch planéty. Flotily Impéria a Croma sa stretli nad atmosférou a aj napriek bojovej schopnosti Mandaloriánov bitka skončila víťazstvom Impéria. Pomohli k tomu najmä planetárne kanóny strieľajúce priamo z povrchu; nové zbrane, ktorých používanie zaviedol Najvyšší Admirál Koth. Zdevastovaná mandaloriánska flotila bola nútená sa stiahnuť. Porazení Mandaloriáni na niekoľko rokov kapitulovali a pozastavili svoje bojové operácie.

- Konzorcium a klan Besadii dosiahli víťazstvo nad Dabbom, ktorý bol zastrelený a zbavený titulu Veľbaróna priamo v jeho paláci na Nal Hutta. Novým Veľbarónom sa stal Maggo Besadii Zarm.

- Na niekoľkých Republikových planétach boli odhalení špióni z Rakaty, ktorí sa za posledné roky dostali na vysoké pozície, no žiadneho z nich sa nepodarilo zajať. Výzvedné akcie Republiky v Neznámych oblastiach nepriniesli žiadne užitočné informácie. Kancelár Rhel Terius nariadil opatrnosť, a Admirál Vega následne zvýšil počet hliadok v Neznámych oblastiach.

- Kartel pod novým vedením ako prejav vďaky prisľúbil pomoc Tann pri jej pokuse o znovuzískanie Kesselu. Tann sa sústredila na budovanie svojej moci a rozširovanie flotily.

- Mand'alora Croma v pozícii nahradil Mand'alor Ordel. Dôvodom mohli byť zlyhané útoky na Vjun a Phindar. Mandaloriánske územie premenoval na Mando'ade. Ordel si múdro vybral ľahší cieľ - Republiku. Tá sa necítila v nebezpečí najmä preto, že dovtedajšie mandaloriánske útoky smerovali výlučne na Impérium.

- Obnovená flotila Mandaloriánov sa bez varovania objavila pri planéte Tirahnn, významnom členovi Republiky. Republika, výrazne oslabená vnútornými rozbrojmi, nedokázala planétu obrániť včas a nepomohla ani oneskorená intervencia Jediov. Boje na planéte prebiehali krátko a akonáhle sa nad planétou objavila Republiková flotila, niekoľko krížnikov bolo okamžite zostrelených a Republika bola nútená stiahnuť sa. Mandaloriáni totižto po prvý krát využili planetárne kanóny, ktorých dizajn a plány konštrukcie ukradli od Impéria (po ich porážke v 3 603 BBY pri Phindare).

- Republika sa rozhodla využiť Rád Jediov, no Rád neodhadol situáciu správne a poslal na Tirahnn len mladších, menej skúsených Jediov (z dôvodu vážnej krízy v Ráde, ktorý po nedávnej schizme stratil množstvo starších a skúsených členov). Jediovia boli nanešťastie zajatí a Ordel za nich požadoval výkupné vo forme planéty Chazwa. Senát po dlhých diskusiách túto požiadavku zamietol a ako Ordel prisľúbil, Jediovia boli verejne popravení. Vzťah Republiky a Rádu sa po tejto udalosti výrazne zhoršil, čo malo vážne dôsledky - ešte väčší počet Jediov začal opúšťať Republiku v prospech novej Federálnej Republiky. Na Coruscante sa vyskytlo niekoľko ozbrojených potýčok, ktoré viedli pohoršení Jediovia.

- Koncil Rádu začal uvažovať o opustení Republiky a presune na neutrálne územie alebo na územie Federácie. Hlasovanie ale skončilo nejednoznačne (3 majstri proti, 3 majstri za). Rád sa ohradil tým, že Republika od Rádu a Jediov len pýta a pýta, a nikdy nič nevráti naspäť. Jediovia nemali toľko členov aby mohli bojovať všetky vojny, do ktorých sa Republika nerozumne zapojila. Medzi majstrami a Kancelárom prebehlo niekoľko dlhých diskusií o osude a budúcnosti Rádu v rámci Republiky.

- Ríša Mando'ade obsadila neutrálne planéty Velmor a Aquaris. Zaútočila aj na Republikovú planétu Thisspias, o ktorú sa viedli dlhé boje, no po tom ako Rád odmietol pomôcť, Republika planétu stratila.

- Senát viedol širokú diskusiu o zrušení Rádu alebo o jeho vylúčení z Republiky. V tejto dobe boli vzťahy medzi Republikou a Rádom v najhoršom stave za posledné stovky rokov. Na čele tohto návrhu stál a doteraz stojí Najvyšší Kancelár Ziii Vullen.

- Ríša Mando'ade obsadila planétu Obroa-skai.

- V rámci Mando'ade sa objavili vnútorné rozpory, ktoré na niekoľko rokov zastavili postup ríše.

- Tann mala pod svojou mocou flotilu pirátov porovnateľnú s flotilou pri Prvej bitke o Kessel. Ešte pred útokom na Kessel sa Tann rozhodla spod Impéria oslobodiť Kubindi, domovskú planétu Kubazov. Urobila tak na základe prosby jej priateľa Janekaha, ktorého hnevala prítomnosť Impéria na jeho domovskej planéte.

- Oslobodenie Kubindi. Po celej planéte sa jednotne rozľahol revolučný odboj. Rebeli obsadili dôležité strediská, najmä tie politické a vojenské; v hlavnom meste zosadili a uväznili Imperiálneho guvernéra. Impérium na planétu nezaútočilo, ale po odchode flotily Konzorcia spustili nad planétou blokádu.

- Majster Rádu Joi Terrek vyhlásil, že do galaxie prichádza veľká hrozba a temnota, ktorá by mohla znamenať koniec modernej galaktickej spoločnosti. Zrušil akcie a misie Rádu, a všetkých Jediov zvolal na Coruscant, kde mali meditovať o tejto novej hrozbe. Rád sa na niekoľko týždňov uzavrel vo vlastnom Chráme a Jediovia prestali komunikovať s verejnosťou. Po ukončení tejto izolácie Majster vyhlásil pasivitu Rádu, čo odôvodnil tým, že sa Jediovia musia pripraviť a sústrediť na odvrátenie tejto prichádzajúcej kataklyzmy. Kancelár ani Senát pre ich dôvody nenašli pochopenie a Rád verejne skritizovali, najmä kvôli tomu, že Republika súrne Jediov potrebovala.

- Nálady obyvateľov Republiky voči Jediom sa znova zhoršili a objavilo sa množstvo nových požiadaviek Rád zrušiť a Jediov z Republiky vyhnať. Chrám Jediov na Coruscante zažil za krátky čas zopár desiatok protestov, ktoré sa Jediovia rozhodli ignorovať.

- Nová vláda oslobodeného Kubindi vyhlásila svoj úmysel pripojiť sa k Republike. Pri Imperiálnej blokáde sa vynorila flotila Republiky a požadovala vstup na planétu. Medzi dvoma mocnosťami nastalo napätie a situáciu, ktorá mohla poľahky skončiť otvorenou vojnou, vyriešila priamo Imperátorka. Dala príkaz na ukončenie blokády a stiahnutie sa z planéty. Republika si mohla vydýchnuť, pretože nechcela vstúpiť do novej vojny, a zdalo sa, že ani Impérium. Táto udalosť znova ochladila vzťahy medzi Republikou a Impériom, a vo vzduchu visela hrozba blížiacej sa vojny.

- Vláda Kubindi započala diskusie o pripojení sa k Republike. Vytvorili niekoľkoročný plán a dohodlo sa, že do Republiky vstúpia v 3 593 BBY.

- Niekoľko senátorov, podporovaných tisíckami nahnevaných ľudí, chcelo do Republiky pozvať Sithov, ktorí by nahradili Jediov. S týmto súhlasili najmä obyvatelia svetov, ktoré padli do rúk Mandaloriánov a Jediovia im žiadnym spôsobom nepomohli. Tieto a podobné návrhy boli rýchlo zhodené zo stola, a senátori dostali varovanie, že ich správanie je veľmi blízko velezrade.

- Druhá bitka o Kessel. Konzorcium so svojimi Huttskými spojencami zaútočili na planétu, no tentoraz Imperiálna flotila už čakala v pozore. Spustila sa niekoľkohodinová bitka, v ktorej malo Impérium spočiatku navrch, no váhy sa po predĺženom boji otočili. Tann sa však znova dočkala zrady - Veľbarón ju podviedol a svoju flotilu otočil proti pirátom. Konzorcium bolo znova nútené dať sa na ústup. Tann sa po druhýkrát dostala do zajatia, tentoraz v dobre zabezpečenej väznici na Dromund Kaas, priamo v srdci Impéria. Konzorcium bolo neoficiálne rozpustené.

- Tann sa vo väzení dozvedela dôvod zrady. Maggo sa už pred mnohými rokmi dohodol s Impériom, že ak zradí Komodorku a pomôže im v obrane Kesselu, získa nemalú časť ziskov z planéty.

- Skončil nástupnícky konflikt v Mando'ade, ktorý vyvrcholil súbojom predošlého Mand'alora Croma a aktuálneho Mand'alora Ordela. Z boja vyšiel víťazne Ordel a upevnil svoju plnú moc nad Mando'ade a všetkými Mandaloriánmi. Mandaloriánske klany na viacerých iných planétach po celej galaxii Ordelovi zaprisahali vernosť a začali utvárať vlastné plány na ''oslobodenie.'' Republika a Impérium sa začali obávať o systémy, kde žili veľké počty mandaloriánskych klanov.

- Mand'alor Ordel svoj úspech oslávil rýchlym obsadením dvoch planét - Pengalan IV a Cartao - o ktorých členstvo sa zaujímala Republika, no plány na rozširovanie Republiky boli pozastavené kvôli kríze. Obsadená bola aj Korda, domov primitívnej rasy (na galaktický štandard) Kordanov.

- Republika a Impérium vošli do spoločných diskusií o nebezpečenstve, ktoré ríša Mando'ade predstavuje, a Kancelár Aden Duann požiadal o vojenskú dohodu s Impériom.

- Ríša Mando'ade obsadila planétu Contruum.

- Republika predčasne zistila ďalší cieľ Mando'ade - planéta Tanaab - a rozhodla sa Tanaab opevniť ešte pred ich príchodom. Nad planétou sa odohrala veľká bitka, pri ktorej obe strany utrpeli vysoké straty. Republiková flotila sa po strate vlajkovej lode a Admirála Corenna dala na útek, a Mandaloriánom sa planétu podarilo obsadiť.

- Planéta Colla IV, domov kolikoidov, bola onedlho tiež pod útokom. Mandaloriáni ale nečakali silný odpor kolikoidov, ktorí mali pripravenú kvalitnú obranu. Po krátkej bitke, v ktorej technologicky vyspelejší kolikoidi zdecimovali mandaloriánsku flotilu, bol Ordel nútený sa stiahnuť. Spoločne so stratami, ktoré utrpeli v bitke o Tanaab, Mandaloriáni museli na čas prestať zo svojimi výbojmi.

- Kancelár Duann vo svojom príhovore vyhlásil, že ak sa Republika v najbližších rokoch nezahojí, bude nasledovať jej rozpad a následný zánik.

- Vojenská dohoda o spolupráci Republiky a Impéria bola konečne vypracovaná a predstavená Senátu Republiky a Vysokému Koncilu Impéria. Republika má v pláne zaútočiť na Mando'ade kým je ríša oslabená a vyžaduje pri tom pomoc Impéria, ktoré kvôli Mandaloriánom tiež stratilo niekoľko planét. Táto aliancia by sa v budúcnosti mohla postaviť aj iným galaktickým hrozbám. Je ale celkom možné, že k žiadnej dohode nedôjde.

- Rád už po dlhé roky odmietal pomôcť Republike v boji proti Mandaloriánom. Kancelár Duann nechcel aby k tomu došlo, no v tento rok si veľký počet senátorov vynútilo hlasovanie o tom, či Rád z Republiky vylúčiť alebo nie. Tomuto hlasovaniu sa nemohol vyhnúť, pretože senátori požiadavku predložili na základe ľudového rozhodnutia.
